Speaking

An empowering perspective

I understand both sides of cancer in a way that few do. As a young man, I was on my deathbed, dying of leukemia. I survived. That led me to go on to study and practice oncology—to help and inspire others.

I’m an integrative oncologist—and a cancer survivor. I’m glad to share my story of hope.

Topics I have covered:

  • Integrative oncology
  • Options for complementary cancer care
  • My personal story of hope

“You are a warrior, you know the battle, and I appreciate all you do for so many who are battling.” —Sharon DeMyer Nemser, Organizer, Northern Berkshire Relay for Life

I offer inspirational and informative talks to oncologists, healthcare providers, and survivorship groups on integrative oncology, options for complementary cancer care and my personal story of hope.

Talks

  • 2018 ASCOⓇ Annual Meeting (American Society of Clinical Oncology), Delivering Discoveries Expanding the Reach of Precision Medicine. June 1-5, Chicago, Illinois.
  • #ASCO18. Please view my talk, entitled “Hope, Mentors and Heroes,” weaving together my story of surviving Large Granular Lymphocytic Leukemia with that of Thomas P. Loughran Jr., who discovered LGLL in 1985.
